Croft House Design Engineer

As Design Engineer at Croft House, I led the design engineering for handbuilt furniture made in the company’s Los Angeles factory. I translated concepts into detailed CAD production drawings and full-scale prototypes, validating both form and fabrication before anything went into production. As an integral part of the product development team, I also created new concept designs and worked with external vendors to source materials and components. I partnered with CNC/CAM operators and oversaw the manufacturing of each new design alongside in-house carpenters, metalworkers, finishers, and upholsterers. Over four years, I also audited departments and recommended process improvements to reduce cost, labor, and material use.
